Founded 1962
Professional Communications founded as a local Telephone Answering Service for the Medical community in Erie PA
1970's - Paging Division introduced
Paging Division introduced and grown to include coverage in Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania
1985 -Voicemail Division introduced
Voicemail Division introduced. One of few companies nationwide offering Answering Service, Paging and Voicemail services.
1991- Answering Service goes paperless
Answering Service goes paperless as it transitions to a computer based system.
1995 - Paging Division is sold
Paging Division is sold. PCMSI (Professional Communications Messaging Service, Inc,) is incorporated under the leadership of Gerard T. Uht JR.
1999
PCMSI launches its first website.
2000 - PCMSI begins EMAIL
PCMSI begins EMAIL as a means of message delivery.
2001 - PCMSI begins TEXT MESSAGING
PCMSI begins TEXT MESSAGING as a means of message delivery.
2004 - PCMSI moves
PCMSI moves to its new Corporate Office at 105 Poplar Street, Erie PA.
2008 - Debra A. Uht heads up the company
Debra A. Uht takes over as President of PCMSI.
2012 - HIPAA Compliant services offered
HIPAA Compliant services offered to handle the Medical and Health Care industries.
2016 - New Billing system installed
New Billing system installed that interacts more efficiently with the answering service system and allows clients varied payment options.
2018 - PCMSI Integrates with Tiger Connect
PCMSI integrates with Tiger Connect (Tiger Text) and becomes a Strategic Partner to further our commitment to HIPAA compliant messaging.
2020
PCMSI releases it newest website.
2023 PCMSI Switches to Prism II
PCMSI Switches to Prism II, a SIP based call processing system, to better assist with call routing and management.
